The Immigration and diaspora of the Tai Yuan ethnic group offer insights into a history filled with hope and desire of life. Underneath the existence of things that are moved and displaced from their original place. It appears to be a spread of truths, beliefs and stories that have been relocated from their original.
Fragmented stories are disintegrated into dust and some stories are firmly entrenched and become deeply rooted beliefs with certain groups of people. Things have become a mist that indicates the “differences” among the “samenesses” of the diaspora. These differences allow us to understand the social centrifugal forces/ culture that are constantly evolving, regardless of any circumstances.
Ultimately, all that remains is a sense of emptiness. Everything that is cherished and cling to are merely solitary assumptions. We often look forward to nonexistent futures and yearn for nonexistent pasts. Both the past and the future serve as traps in our current existence, which we must eventually let go for over time.
