baannoorg Archive: the Rituals of Things is a collaborative and socially engaged art project that constructs visual rituals through activities and forms of play. At the centre of the project is a Mini Skate Ramp functioning as a mechanism for collaboration between Baannoorg, skateboarding communities, and graffiti communities from Ratchaburi and Bangkok. The project creates an artistic platform that encourages participation and interaction with audiences, both as a usable physical space and as an aesthetic space through activity-based art practices. Inspired by John Dewey’s concept of Art as Experience, the project aims to build an ecology of knowledge that demonstrates how “marginality” or “rurality” should not be perceived as backwardness, but rather as a living laboratory.

The project also includes an Archive Newspaper that documents Baannoorg’s collective practices, timelines, and community development from 2011–2026. The publication archives local histories, social situations, and community conditions related to social, economic, political, criminal, sports, and entertainment issues, presented in the format of journals or newspapers.
The newspaper is available to read online HERE
